DIY edrum

No update of our progress yet. I decided to get myself a proper soldering iron first since mine is just crap and we will need to solder more during the building of our edrums. Michiel is also getting a new iron so we can’t do anything yet. In the mean time we watched some tutorials about soldering and we found this one quite usefull and thoughd it was good enough to share. We will get our irons somewhere this week

Today I received another package We almost have all our parts together now to build our megadrum midi triggers we just have to get a few missing parts from a local hardware store. We hope to make a start this weekend so more updates soon.

Today I came home and found a package waiting for me It was a nice small package from France with our megadrum pcb’s and ic’s. Thanks Synthex! Very fast service and I can certainly recommend buying from him. Have a look at the flickr stream for unpacking pics. Now we have to wait for the remaining parts so we can start soldering.

We ordered the megadrum pcb’s with some IC’s from Synthex at the megadrum forum and they are on there way to us.  The remaining parts we will get from Ebay and online shops. Of course we will keep a list off all the stuff we bought and where we bought it. Stay tuned hopefully we can start assembling the weekend
